NX Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuo Miyazaki; hereinafter “NX”) hosted five students from Mizunami Municipal Mizunami Junior High School on September 16 as part of its support for career education promoted by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
During the visit, NX introduced its business activities and its role in supporting social infrastructure through an interactive quiz. The students also learned about the different types of trailers used in NX’s heavy-haul transportation and construction operations, as well as how trailers are selected according to the size and weight of the cargo being transported.
As part of a hands-on learning activity, the students conducted an experiment using plastic bottles to experience firsthand how differences in the center of gravity affect crane stability. Through these activities, the students enjoyed learning about heavy-haul transportation and construction while gaining a deeper understanding of work that they rarely have the opportunity to encounter in their daily lives.
NX actively welcomes workplace tours and company visits to support learning opportunities for children who will shape the future. Going forward, NX will continue to value its connections with local communities and contribute to the development of the next generation.
