Projects Details
In this project, we constructed 14 offshore wind turbines at Ishikari Bay New Port in Hokkaido, with the highest output in Japan at 8 MW. We received the wind power equipment via international marine shipment from international manufacturers to the wharf, then implemented transportation within the port, temporary storage and pre-assembly of towers and nacelles on land, loading to get the wind power equipment onto a self-elevating platform (SEP), off-shore installation, and commissioning work inside the wind power equipment.

Key Project Details and Requirements
1. Contacted regarding a commercial project for a large off-shore wind farm
This was the second largest commercial off-shore wind farm project, and we had previously been involved in the first, as well. In the end, the client selected us for our reputation from that off-shore wind farm project and our many on-shore wind farm projects.

2. One-stop solution for everything from stevedoring work to off-shore installation work
We handle transportation within the port, temporary storage, and pre-assembly for wind power equipment transported from outside Japan to the base port. After that, we load the wind power equipment onto an SEP vessel and transfer it to the installation location.
We carry out off-shore wind power equipment installation 24 hours a day, using day and night shifts on the SEP vessel in rotation.
This project was carried out through the collective efforts of our experienced offshore wind power construction experts from Akita Prefecture and personnel with onshore wind turbine experience from across Japan, and involved most major company-owned equipment. We were unfamiliar with 8 MW turbine equipment in many ways, as this was the first time it would be installed in Japan. In the end, we relied on close communication between planning and work teams, as well as our experienced team's technical and organizational capacities to see the project through to success.
